Ecrida Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Ecrida ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use the Ecrida mobile application and related services. Ecrida is a photography community that lets you browse galleries, manage camera gear, publish original photos or smart frames, comment, message, and purchase digital Frames (Coins).
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and profile information: nickname, avatar, bio, and account preferences you provide.
- User-generated content: photos you upload or publish, EXIF / gear fields, stories, comments, likes, follows, messages, reports, and blocks.
- Device and technical information: device model, OS version, app version, language, timezone, and basic diagnostics needed to run the app.
- Purchase information: StoreKit transaction identifiers, order status, and Coins / Frames balance changes related to in-app purchases.
- Usage and attribution information: feature interactions and, where permitted, advertising identifiers used for attribution and analytics (for example via Adjust and Facebook SDK).
- Smart Frame inputs: story text and gear / exposure details you submit when using Smart Frame. Optional reference photos may be selected in the create flow for your own publishing decisions.
In the local gallery experience, gallery interactions, profile information, messages, and Coins balances are stored locally on your device.
2. Permissions and Purpose
Ecrida may request the following permissions:
- Camera: used to capture photos or videos for community sharing and to update your profile avatar.
- Photo Library: used to select images for Create (New Frame), publishing, and avatar updates.
- Microphone: used when you record video with the camera; photo upload and browsing do not require the microphone.
- Tracking: limited tracking to support attribution and improve product experience where you grant permission.
You can manage permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Denying a permission may affect related features, but browsing the gallery and gear pages remains available where possible.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain core app features (Gallery, Gear, Create, Me, Messages, Frames store).
- Display, organize, and sync your posts, comments, likes, follows, and conversations.
- Process Smart Frame requests you initiate and return generated images for optional publishing.
- Process Coins / Frames purchases and related entitlements.
- Improve product performance, stability, and user experience.
- Measure attribution and analytics where permitted.
- Detect abuse, fraud, spam, copyright issues, and security risks.
- Support customer service and dispute handling.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only in limited situations:
- With Apple and payment infrastructure to process in-app purchases.
- With service providers that help us host, analyze, attribute, or secure services, under appropriate agreements.
- With third-party processing providers needed to fulfill a Smart Frame request you initiate; submitted prompts / related inputs are used for that request.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
- To protect rights, safety, and property of users, us, or others.
5. Smart Framing and Temporary Processing
When you use Smart Frame, Ecrida uses third-party processing services to create an image from the story and gear details you provide. Inputs are sent to those providers only to complete the request. Processed inputs are used for generation and are not kept by Ecrida for unrelated purposes. Generated images are assistive creative results; you should check them before publishing. You remain responsible for content you upload, generate, and share.
6. Data Storage and Security
We apply commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including access control and secure transmission practices. Local content on your device is protected by the security of your device and operating system. No method of transmission or storage is absolutely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Data remains available while you use the app, until you delete specific content, delete your account, or uninstall the app.
- Exit ends the authenticated session. Delete Account clears local local gallery data such as posts, chats, account info, reports / blocks, and Coins associated with that experience.
- Certain anti-abuse markers (such as whether a first-launch Coins bonus was already granted) may be retained so the bonus is not claimed repeatedly.
- Server-side retention, if any, follows applicable legal and operational requirements. When no longer required, data will be deleted or anonymized as reasonably practicable.
8. Children
Ecrida is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Your Choices
- Update nickname, avatar, and bio in Edit Info.
- Control Camera, Photo Library, Microphone, and Tracking permissions in iOS Settings.
- Report or block users / content that violates community standards.
- Exit or Delete Account from Settings.
10. International Users
If you access Ecrida from outside the region where services are operated, your information may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes may be communicated via app notice, website notice, or other reasonable channels. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
